VERSE 1:
This is my prayer in the desert
When all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides
VERSE 2:
This is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flame
CHORUS:
I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain
I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here
VERSE 3:
This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on it's way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I'll stand
BRIDGE:
All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship
VERSE 4:
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favour and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've received I will sow

The lyrics for this song are really ministering and meaningful.
During dryness, we need to know our God is the God who provides. (verse 1)
During trials, we need to know our faith which is of more worth than gold needs to be refined through the flame. (verse 2)
During defeats (or 'not-yet' victories), we need to know we are conquerors and co-heirs with Christ. (verse 3)
And during all these, we should decide to bring praise, rejoice and declare that God is our victory. (chorus)
We should also remember God is still God even during all these and there is a reason to worship Him. (bridge)
But the verse which struck me the most is verse 4. With the change of tempo, it's no wonder it will catch anyone's attention but I felt the lyrics is also very special to me as well. Note also that the music suggests much less rejoicing in this verse than in the rest of the song. This is counter-intuitive 'cause intuition tells us that there should be more reasons for rejoicing in the harvest.
Firstly, why did God fill us to be empty again? It simply struck me that this harvest that we thought we should be rejoicing over is too small for God to allow to remain our 'final' harvest. God wanted us to receive something more, He wanted us to sow the seed we've received so that our next harvest will be something greater.
This is why in the harvest, we need to decide to sow the seeds we've received. (verse 4)
Hope this song encourages you as much as it did to me
