Flowing along with Rivers

dunno why but was suddenly reminded of Julian's sermon where he mentioned the Singapore River.

Just a thought.. Are we also caught in the Church River that we sometimes disguise as God's call for us? When we want to outreach to pre-believers, when we want to disciple believers, when we want to prioritise character growth.. Are we really receiving these from God? Or have we just flowed along with the Church River?
